And so we've come to the end of another year. Well, we're in the last month of another year!
So now what's it been? Almost 5 years since we've met? :)
3 years since we've left HC? (my math sucks esp when it comes to calculating time and thus the question marks)
After our inves, CQM, QM1 and QM2 were in the QM room doing something (last minute packing? Can't remember haha). QM1, ever the melodramatic one, starting crying because he/she thought that it would be end of how close we were. CQM and QM2 are mentioned in this story only because that was the first time they were nice to QM1 in the whole year plus of working together.
But it clearly wasn't the end cos we kept getting closer. Then after graduating, we (the girls, do the guys even think about these things??) kept talking about how we'd have to accept the end of the closeness because we wouldn't see everyone's annoying faces anymore.
But that wasn't the end later. So we rationalized that after the guys start university Spartans will ggxx.
But now there's a Christmas AND a pre-new year attendance list up in our group.
I guess we've reached a point where there is no end. Attendance levels (HAHA sounds like school) might not be as high as before but I think maybe we've reached like a steady state of friendship. So now that I know we're going to be long-term friends, WHO WANTS ME TO BE THE GODMOTHER OF YOUR FUTURE CHILD???
Love always,
Happyblog
Benefits of having me as your child's Godmother
1. I'm not the sort with an 五分钟热度- I will love and take care of your child even if you forget about him/her (just like how I take care of this blog)
2. I love ice cream- so your child will get loads of ice cream too
3. I will share my stuffed toys with him/her
4. Free M3 level developmental assessment
5. Free medical consultations (over simple conditions please)
6. You can name your child after me
And so we've come to the end of another year

Overheard my mummy having this conversation w her iPad:
M: Set alarm for 5.50am
Siri: I'm really sorry. I can't take requests at the moment, please try again in a bit.*
M (louder and slower): Set alarm for 5.50am
Siri: I'm really sorry. I can't take requests at the moment, please try again in a bit.*

M (still loudly and slowly): You are so inefficient.
HAHAHAHA
*I can't rmb exactly what Siri said but it was something like that

my contribution to our knowledge bank chapter 2

So guys, and I mean guys guys not as a general address to everyone, because over 90% of patients with gout are male.
Gout is a type of joint problem which is like SUPER PAINFUL during attacks and usually affects your big toe joint. It's super painful man. What happens is that you've got too much of a certain substance (uric acid) in your blood so this substance is like omg it's too stifling here I need to get out so it crystallises and deposits in your joint. Then your body is like "hey! What's crystal doing here???" so it launches an attack against crystal. This attack results in loads of casualties and the entire area becomes inflamed.
SO HOW CAN YOU PREVENT IT?
Well there's quite a bit of genetic disposition, so just hope you didn't pick unlucky genes from the gene pool. And if you're a guy you can't really modify the fact that you're a guy. Well, technically you can, but that's a story for another day :)
BUT ALSO, there are some MODIFIABLE risk factors!!
- Obesity
- High blood pressure and high cholesterol
- Smoking and excessive alcohol intake
And loads more that are super important but I'm lazy to explain HAHA so take a look here!
http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/gout/basics/risk-factors/con-20019400
Oh and something interesting!
Gout used to be known as a "Rich Man's Disease" because the rich people then tended to be fatter and eat more rich food like red meats etc which were really rich in purines (purines eventually become the substance that causes gout so it's a risk factor for gout)!
Okay that's all for now! Take care, my dear fat, smoking, drinking guy friends! Hope you'll never have gout! <3

Rachie and I had our end of posting test yesterday, which is a misnomer because it isn't really at the end of our posting. Anyway I'm back to writing my reflective journals and case writeups which make be really distracted :(
I'm doing a pretty interesting topic though! It's on pulmonary embolism which means a blood clot in the vessels of your lungs. It's usually caused by a clot first forming in your legs then travelling to your heart. Have you guys ever heard of economy class syndrome? Like how people suddenly die after taking a long flight? Well this is how it happens! When you sit still for very long, you're at a higher risk of forming clots in your leg which can then travel to your heart then your lungs the BOOM you die (if the clot is big enough). But don't worry! This rarely happens and it's not so much travelling in economy class but more like remaining immobile for long periods of time increases the risk (but like you'll definitely get up during the flight to go toilet etc right?).
Anyway, in case you're not interesting in such an interesting topic, here's a song I'm listening to on repeat as I try to type my RJ ^.^

It's v v good!
I feel like posting as a person instead of as a blog so,
Love,
Ruth <3

No one cares about Happyblog so Lonelyblog is back
Saturday, 4 July 2015
Once upon a time there lived a happy blog named, well, Happyblog. Now Happyblog 原本是有一个幸福家庭。可是,有一年她Operations Manager不幸被逼做个Reflective journal, which was the most burndensome thing in the world.
But actually because of the RJ and Operations Manager's love for procrastination, Happyblog, who became Lonelyblog from the neglect, became a slightly happier blog. Every cloud has a silver lining.
Much love always,
A slightly happier lonely blog
xoxo
P/S In case you weren't paying attention during our yatch games, the first paragraph was adapted from the 默读 section Rachie and I nearly died memorising HAHAHA

A Deadly Affair
Sunday, 11 January 2015
=
So because I'm super scared of eating food outside from home now but didn't bring any food today, I went for what I thought was the safest choice... And ate tons of it. Seriously, I had 3 sticks for lunch, 4 sticks for dinner and nothing else other than coffee and an apple. Chicken nuggets are just delicious pieces of fried ground up chicken right? How can that possibly go wrong! Then as it turns out, chicken nuggets have deadly traces of egg in their batter and so I'm now a red spotted human being.
"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened" Goodbye, chicken nuggets my dear friend, thank you for the memories :')
I couldn't find a normal picture of the nuggets so I just used the spicy one hehe
Shoutout to 心灵相通lihao (let's see if we really 心灵相通 this time) and ninja reader shenyee :) :) :)
Please excuse me while I go scratch my skin off :(
